PSA In Zeebrugge: CHZ
Container Handling Zeebrugge (CHZ) is the busiest container terminal in Zeebrugge.
CHZ handled over 1m TEU in 2010. It has a quay length of 1000m and is equipped with 6 quay cranes with up to 21 rows outreach. CHZ handles 14k TEU Mega Vessels of CMA-CGM, China Shipping, Evergeen and UASC.
CHZ offers direct connections to 9 Chinese ports as well as to Vietnam, Malaysia and the Middle East. Shortsea services include Gothenburg, St Petersburg and multiple ports in Baltic and the UK.
Furthermore, PSA Zeebrugge is tied to a network of inland hubs for efficient delivery of containers in France, Belgium and Germany via barge, rail and truck.Shipping Lines: China Shipping
China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL) has been active in the port of Zeebrugge for almost 10 years, taking advantage of its strong nautical access and facilities for its latest Mega Vessels.
With a fleet of 150 container vessels and a strong home base in China, CSCL is a member of the Top 10 lines in the world. From Zeebrugge, CSCL provides the fastest connections to Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Yantian and others. CSCL’s latest 14k TEU giants “CSCL STAR” and “CSCL VENUS” call Zeebrugge in the AEX7 service.Shipping Lines: Transfennica Connects Bilbao
In 2007, Transfennica started its direct Zeebrugge-Bilbao service. "It is a reliable alternative for congested roads between Northern Europe and Spain. Our vessels leave on-time and 3x per week in each direction: a perfect fit into your supply chain" says Helmut Walgraeve, director Transfennica Zeebrugge.
The specialized service handles containers, RORO including unaccompanied reefers, special transports, harzardous cargo, tank and other containers. Transfennica operates 12 advanced multipurpose vessels, and serves Finland, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Russian, Spain, UK and other destinationsServices: World Class Paper Handling
The boys in orange have a very delicate task of handling over 1million tons of paper reels from Stora Enso, Norske Skog and others. The high quality demands calls for squeaky clean warehouse facilities and highest fire and safety standards.
Zeebrugge International Port (ZIP) is one of Europe's largest paper and pulp hubs. Cargo arriving from Sweden and Finland continues inland to France, Germany and Belgium. Increasingly, deepsea shipping lines can also benefit from containerised transport to South America, Middle East and Far East.Other: Zeebrugge Rocks!
This summer, Bon Jovi showed that Zeebrugge wasn’t born to follow as 50,000 fans raised their hands to keep the faith at Zeebrugge Beach, amidst the backdrop of the Container Terminals.
With the world’s largest video screen, over 15,000 feet of cables, a 150-ton stage and 1,000 cases of speakers and equipment, it was certainly a good thing to be in such close proximity to PSA Zeebrugge!
