360° Views and Behind-the-Scenes Tours: PSA Belgium Showcases Terminals at the Flemish Port Day

Flanders, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and many companies in and around the port organized the sixth edition of Flemish Port Day last Sunday. This edition was all about innovation. No fewer than 85,000 visitors explored the ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge, Ostend, and Ghent. We also opened our doors in Antwerp (Europa Terminal and MPET) and in Zeebrugge, attracting a total of around 3,000 curious visitors. Watch the aftermovie!

With more than 160 activities spread across the various ports, both at the central hubs and the company sites, a more than ample and diverse program was provided for young and old. Despite the changeable weather, we welcomed around a thousand visitors to each of our sites. A unique opportunity for the public to get to know the port better... and in that respect, we more than succeeded!

Zeebrugge

In Zeebrugge, the role of paper was highlighted with a walk through and past the warehouses. Visitors were guided around in small groups by our enthusiastic colleagues. From the foreshore, everyone could enjoy the sight of the large Con-Ro ships. The little ones could have fun in the make-up chair and fold origami paper boats to their heart's content. The event ended with a delicious fresh shrimp croquette from the sea.

Antwerp

There were also many happy faces to be seen in the container village at MPET. The big attraction was the platform that offered an exclusive glimpse into our daily operations. Children could burn off all their energy in the bouncy castle, while adults returned home with a photo as a souvenir.

At Europa Terminal, interested visitors had the opportunity to view the ‘terminal of the future’ from above and take a look behind the scenes of the port. No fewer than 680 people dared to admire the first steps of the Emerald project from the air.

It was also a successful day at the central hub. The little ones colored in a coloring page and exchanged it for a cool yellow port helmet, while their parents explored our interactive #GrootGroterGroots job site.

Enjoy the aftermovie of our successful participation in Flemish Port Day. We will definitely be back in 2025!
